Initial Design Consultation

All of our design services start with an in-home consultation. These initial consultations last between 1-2 hours. It is at this time we will get acquainted with each other and your home, discuss the scope of the project and what you are looking to achieve, your budget, and your timeframe. We will provide you with general advice, tips, and resources. This meeting is what jump-starts our project together (see Full Design Service below).

Some of the topics that may be covered during our initial consult may include:

  • Identifying how your family lives in the space and the function you need to achieve

  • Reviewing the existing furnishings that will be remaining

  • Defining and discovering your design taste

  • Furniture placement recommendations

  • Discussion on renovations

  • Window treatment ideas

  • Color palette ideas

  • Tips on improving lighting

  • Styling tips

Single Consultation

Single Consultations are perfect for the homeowner who needs direction and solid professional advice in order to implement their own improvements. Single Consultations include everything listed in the (initial) Design Consultation above. Single Consultations are up to two hours. During our meeting together, we will take handwritten notes and send you a follow-up email which will include typed notes and discussion from our meeting. Single Consultations will not include space plans, drawings, renderings, research, or any other ongoing, in-office design work. If you do find you need more help, no problem! We can provide you with follow-up or project services.

Some examples of topics covered during Single Consults may include:

  • Provide a paint color for a couple of rooms or advice on pre-selected paint samples.

  • Advice on finish selections (i.e. kitchen or bath remodel)

  • Advice and help with accessorizing and art

  • Advice on furniture placement

Color Consultation

Selecting the right paint colors can be incredibly frustrating. Having a professional to help will save you the time, expense, and headache from attempting it alone. Booking a Color Consultation includes two hours of paint selections. We will bring Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore paint decks to make our selections from. We will provide you with a worksheet that includes the paint name, color, and finish for each room and trim. We strongly encourage you to buy paintable samples post-meeting in order to see how the color reacts in your space and lighting. A follow-up consult can be provided if you would like us to review the painted color in the space and to make revisions or adjustments to the original selections.
